Articulation of Speech Sounds

The English language contains many different speech sounds, some of which children tend to master early on, and some which take a bit longer. For example, by around 3 years old, children typically have mastered sounds such as m, p, b, n, w, and h. By around 4 years old, children usually have mastered k and g. However, sounds such as sh, ch, th, r, v and s typically take a bit longer.

If you are concerned about your child’s articulation or speech clarity, Naomi can provide an assessment to determine whether your child would benefit from speech therapy. She will create an individualized treatment plan including direct one-on-one intervention and weekly homework assignments in order to help your child master his/her speech sounds.
